Matt, the dogs and I had an awesome pre 4th of July celebration at Rock Creek Park. Rock Creek Park is such an awesome  hidden gem in DC.  They have picnic tables throughout the entire park.

So instead of holding the dog’s leashes while eating/cooking we brought two tie ups that go around the tree.

Clearly you can see that they got all twisted up, the lighter colored one is one that is not supposed to get tangled up. I think it would work best not on a group with a bunch of roots and sticks that get it tangled. The pups did not seem to mind!

First we started with a simple salad of lettuce, cucumbers and tomato with a balsamic dressing and a side of grilled sweet potatoes.

Then he made burgers. Matt is the best burger maker! He uses brown sugar, balsamic vinegar and herbs. Delicious!

Topped with lettuce, tomato and goat cheese.

After we were done with our meal, we offered the pups some lettuce, which they were a little too excited about.

I know this picture is totally blurry, but their faces are too funny!

After Rizzy was done with her piece of lettuce, she took some time off and pondered about the world.
